Cookie Policy
Effective date: 2026-04-30 Last updated: 2026-04-30
This Cookie Policy explains how Wardly uses cookies and similar technologies on wdfsolutioons.com (the "Service"). It is part of our Privacy Policy. Wardly is operated by WDF SOLUTIONS LTD (Companies House SC437083).
We have written this in plain English so you can decide what you are comfortable with. If you have any question, email support@wdfsolutioons.com.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies let the site remember information about your visit — for example that you are signed in. We also use related browser-storage technologies (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) and small image-based pixels. Throughout this policy, "cookies" means all of these.
2. The categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into three categories.
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Service to work — for example, to keep you signed in, to remember your consent choices, to route traffic, and to protect against attacks. The Service will not work properly without them, so they are always on and are not subject to consent under most laws.
2.2 Analytics / performance
These cookies help us understand how the Service is used in aggregate so we can improve it: which pages people visit, which features are used, where errors occur. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider and aggregate the data; we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
2.3 Marketing / targeting
These cookies, where used, help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing and, in some cases, show you Wardly information on other sites you visit. They may be set by third-party advertising partners. We use marketing cookies sparingly and only with your opt-in (or, in regions where opt-in is not required, where you have not opted out).
3. The cookies we use
The table below summarises the cookies we set or load on the Service, grouped by category. Specific names may change as we evolve the Service; the categories and purposes will not change without an update to this policy.
Strictly necessary
| Cookie / storage | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| wardly_session | Keeps you signed in across pages | Session, up to 30 days if "remember me" |
| wardly_csrf | Cross-site request forgery protection | Session |
| wardly_consent | Stores your cookie consent choices | 12 months |
| wardly_locale | Remembers your language and currency preference | 12 months |
| wardly_route | Routes traffic to the nearest data region | Session |
Analytics / performance
| Cookie / storage | Purpose | Retention | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| _wa_session | Aggregate session and page-view counting | 30 minutes | Wardly analytics |
| _wa_id | Pseudonymous visitor identifier for trend analysis | 12 months | Wardly analytics |
| _wa_error | Captures front-end errors for debugging | 7 days | Error-tracking provider |
Marketing / targeting
| Cookie / storage | Purpose | Retention | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| _wa_attribution | Attributes a signup to the campaign that referred you | 90 days | Wardly |
| _ad_pixel | Measures conversions from ad platforms (only loaded with consent) | Up to 13 months | Advertising partner |
We update this list as the Service evolves and we will keep the categories accurate.
4. Third-party cookie partners
Where third parties set cookies through our site, they are bound by data-processing agreements with us and the categories above describe the purposes for which we engage them:
- A product analytics provider to help us understand aggregate usage.
- An error and performance monitoring provider to detect bugs and outages.
- A small number of advertising partners that provide measurement pixels, where you have consented to marketing cookies.
Third parties may use the data for their own purposes only as permitted by their own privacy policies and our agreement with them.
5. How we ask for your consent — by region
5.1 EEA, UK, and similar opt-in regions
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region where opt-in consent is required, we show a cookie banner the first time you visit. The banner offers three clear choices:
- Reject all — only strictly necessary cookies are set.
- Accept all — all categories are set.
- Customise — opens granular toggles where you can turn analytics and marketing on or off independently.
No analytics or marketing cookies are loaded until you have made a choice. Pre-ticked boxes are not used.
5.2 United States and other opt-out regions
In regions where opt-out is the standard (for example, California under the CCPA), we set strictly necessary cookies by default and we provide a clear notice and an easy way to opt out of analytics and marketing cookies. The same banner with Reject all, Accept all, and Customise options is shown so the choice is always available.
5.3 Honoring browser signals
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a valid opt-out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for users to whom the CCPA applies. We also honor the Do Not Track (DNT) signal: when DNT is on, we do not set analytics or marketing cookies.
If both a banner choice and a browser signal are present, we apply whichever is more privacy-protective.
6. Changing your mind
You can change your cookie choices at any time:
- Click the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page on wdfsolutioons.com to open the consent center and update your toggles.
- Reject categories you previously accepted.
- Clear cookies in your browser settings to remove the consent record and trigger the banner again on your next visit.
You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Service will not work — for example, you will not be able to stay signed in.
7. Mobile app and other channels
If we offer a mobile app or other client in the future, equivalent controls will be provided in that client's settings. The same categories and the same regional rules will apply.
8. Withdrawal and effect
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing we did while consent was in place. After you withdraw consent, the relevant cookies are deleted and not set again unless you opt back in.
9. Children
We do not knowingly set cookies for analytics or marketing on accounts known to belong to users under 16, regardless of region.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a cookie. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, surface a notice in-product or by email.
